SideShift.ai – Overview

SideShift.ai is an instant cryptocurrency exchange operated by Paradigm Ltd, based in Saint Kitts and Nevis, that has been running since 2019. It supports more than 300 cryptocurrencies across 45-plus networks, including Monero, and sends funds directly to a user’s wallet without requiring an account or sign-up.

SideShift.ai does not require identity verification up front, but its terms are direct about the compliance checks that sit behind the scenes. The platform runs an automated risk management system on every transaction and reserves the right to freeze a transfer for as long as needed to complete an investigation, as well as the right to refuse to process a transaction outright. SideShift.ai also states that it collects some tracking data, including device and IP information, and retains transaction records to meet its legal obligations, sharing that data with authorities when required. This is a more conventional compliance approach than some of the more anonymity-focused platforms in this category.

SideShift.ai offers both fixed and variable rate swaps, with a minimum deposit that defaults to around 3 dollars once network fees are factored in, and a maximum that varies by coin. The platform doesn’t publish a single flat fee percentage, since costs depend on the specific pair and network being used. SideShift.ai is trusted as the backend swap provider for a number of well known wallets, including Trezor, Bitcoin.com, Edge, and Aqua Wallet, and it also offers its own open API for developers who want to build on top of it directly.

One area where SideShift.ai differs from more privacy-hardened competitors is accessibility: the site requires JavaScript to function, and it does not currently offer a Tor mirror. SideShift.ai does maintain a public treasury page, however, showing company profit holdings on-chain in real time, which is a different kind of transparency than the live swap reserves some competitors display.
