MoBit – Overview

MoBit is a small instant cryptocurrency exchange that focuses on privacy and simplicity. It only supports six assets, Bitcoin, Monero, Ethereum, USDC, USDT, and DAI, rather than the very long coin lists some competitors advertise, and it lets users swap between them without an account or email.

MoBit does not require identity verification, and its terms of service make no mention of KYC or AML checks at all. The platform’s own tagline is built around this: fast, secure, no KYC, no JavaScript, and no logs. Its site also works without JavaScript enabled and is reachable through a dedicated Tor onion address, which is unusual even among no-KYC competitors.

MoBit displays its live reserves directly on its homepage, showing exactly how much of each supported asset it currently holds, along with live prices. This gives users a way to check that a swap is backed by real, currently available funds before sending anything. Users can choose between a flat rate, currently 1.5 percent, or a dynamic rate around 1 percent that follows the live market more closely.

MoBit’s terms include a specific protection for fixed-rate swaps: if the market moves 4 percent or more in either direction while a fixed-rate exchange is pending, MoBit will either honor the market rate or return the original asset, whichever the user prefers. Separately, if a transaction fails to complete, for example if the amount sent falls below MoBit’s minimum, funds can be held for up to 12 months while MoBit works to resolve it, though the company does not guarantee the outcome after that point.

MoBit blocks access from the United States and from countries under international sanctions. Support runs through an official Telegram bot, and the platform also offers a public API for developers. As a newer entrant to this space, MoBit has a shorter track record than more established competitors, so it’s worth factoring that into how much you route through it at once.
