Ledger Nano X Overview
The Ledger Nano X is a hardware wallet with a 1.1-inch monochrome OLED display at 128 x 64 pixels. Private keys are stored offline on an ST33J2M0 Secure Element chip, certified to CC EAL5+. The device runs Ledger OS. The body is brushed stainless steel and plastic, measuring 72 x 18.6 x 11.7 mm and weighing 34 grams.
Connectivity includes Bluetooth (BLE 5.2) and a USB-C port. NFC and wireless charging are not included. Updating the device OS over Bluetooth requires version 2.4.1 or higher; older versions require a wired connection via desktop or Android.
The Ledger Wallet app on iOS 14+, Android 10+, and 64-bit desktop systems (Windows 10/11, macOS Monterey or Ventura, Ubuntu LTS 20.04/22.04) handles transactions. The app supports 500+ coins and tokens directly. Third-party wallets expand access to 15,000+ assets. Clear Signing is supported.
A PIN code protects device access; three wrong entries reset it. Backup is through the Secret Recovery Phrase. A Ledger Recovery Key is not included. The box contains a USB-C to USB-A cable, three Recovery Sheets, a keychain strap, and a safety and regulatory leaflet. Chromebooks and ARM processors are not supported.
