Ledger Nano Gen5 Overview

The Ledger Nano Gen5 is a hardware wallet with a 2.8-inch monochrome E Ink touchscreen. The display has scratch-resistant glass with an anti-glare coating and runs at 300 x 400 pixels. Private keys are stored offline on an ST33K1M5 Secure Element chip certified to CC EAL6+. The device runs Ledger OS.

Connectivity includes Bluetooth (BLE 5.2), NFC, and USB-C. Wireless charging is not supported. The body is plastic throughout. It measures 79.4 x 53.3 x 8.6 mm and weighs 46 grams. Available in Jet Black, Matcha Green, Glacier White, and Cherry Red.

The Ledger Wallet app manages 500+ coins and tokens on iOS 15+, Android 10+, and 64-bit desktop systems (Windows 10/11, macOS Monterey or Ventura, Ubuntu LTS 20.04/22.04). Third-party wallets extend support to 15,000+ assets. Clear Signing displays transaction details on screen before approval.

A PIN code protects the device. Three wrong entries trigger an automatic factory reset. The Secret Recovery Phrase is the primary backup. A Ledger Recovery Key is included.

The box includes a USB-C to USB-C cable, three Recovery Sheets, a Ledger Recovery Key, and a safety and regulatory leaflet. Chromebooks and ARM processors are not supported.
